Ecostrat Ranked #8 of the “50 Hottest Companies in the Bioeconomy”

August 24, 2026 — Ecostrat Inc. is proud to announce its recognition as No. 8 on the 2026 “50 Hottest Companies in the Bioeconomy,” published in The Digest, the world’s most widely read bioeconomy daily. The Hot 50 represents the top 0.07 percent of a global field The Digest estimates at 75,000 companies. Ecostrat is the only feedstock supply chain advisory firm in the top ten.
“We’re honored to be recognized again among the bioeconomy’s leaders. Our mission as the biomass solutions company has always been to de-risk, accelerate, and catalyze the global bioeconomy. This recognition reflects the hard work of our dedicated team and the trust of the clients we serve,” stated Jordan Solomon, CEO of Ecostrat and Chairman of The BDO Zone Initiative.
For nearly three decades, Ecostrat has propelled the global bioeconomy by building the intelligence, standards, risk-reduction tools, and supply systems that make biomass projects investable and scalable.
The BDO Zone Initiative, the world’s first standardized system for rating regional readiness for biomanufacturing investment, has issued 68 ratings across North America and is linked to more than $10 billion in project capital. Under an agreement between CSA Group and ASTM International, the BDO Zone methodology is set for publication as a US–Canada binational standard in early 2027.
Feedstock Supply Insurance, developed with New Energy Risk and launched in late 2025, caps long-term feedstock cost and supply risk and transfers that exposure to an A-rated insurer. Project developers and investors are using it to unlock financing for projects that would otherwise stall on feedstock uncertainty.
Ecostrat’s Advisory Group has delivered more than 500 biomass supply assessments, more than any firm in the sector. Its Biomass Supply Chain Risk Standards, built with Idaho National Laboratory and published as National Standards, are the reference framework lenders, insurers, and policymakers use to assess feedstock risk. Its Biomass Supply Group has more than 25 years of experience originating, aggregating, and constructing biomass supply chains, and has supplied over five million tons of biomass, from wood chips shipped to Turkey to kiln-dried sawdust delivered to Ontario dairy farms.

About The BDO Zone Initiative
The Biofuel Development Opportunity (BDO) Zone Initiative certifies ‘regional readiness’ for bio-manufacturing, creates global connections and ignites an influx of new energy opportunities for farmers, economic developers, and rural businesses. A BDO Zone rating is an internationally recognized, standards-based technical risk assessment of a region’s feedstock, supply chain, and infrastructure risk with respect to the development potential for new biofuel plants. BDO Zone ratings are precise targets for bio-project siting. Investment grade ratings are force-multipliers for attracting new manufacturing plants to the areas where they are most likely to succeed, drive investment and create jobs.
