Dr. Marinescu brings invaluable expertise to the Ecostrat team and is widely recognized as a leading expert in biomass supply chain risk, particularly in forest biomass and sustainability. His distinguished background in forest utilization and economic sustainability has paved the way for pioneering research and methodologies, supporting the transition towards sustainable biomass supply chains.

Dr. Marinescu’s impressive track record includes: leading research initiatives in sustainable forest biomass utilization, validating forest biomass inventory methodologies, supporting community bioenergy applications, and assessing the environmental, social, and economic impacts of biomass-to-bioenergy supply chains. His dedication to sustainability is evident through his collaborations with international partners such as the European Forest Institute, showcasing his commitment to positively impacting the biomass industry.

Dr. Marinescu holds a Ph.D. in Forestry from The University of British Columbia, Canada, and boasts a background in forest engineering, economics, and production management. Fluent in both English and Romanian, his outstanding work has been recognized with numerous awards and honors, including the Innovations Recognition from FPInnovations and Gold and Silver Awards of Excellence for his publications.
