Plumas County, California Issued BDO Zone 'A' Rating for Woody Biomass
See the rating →Plumas Corp, the Plumas County Fire Safe Council, Ecostrat and the BDO Zone Initiative have announced the issue of a BDO Zone ‘A’ Rating for Plumas County, California.
The rating covers 255,000 bone dry tons per year of woody biomass, drawn from pulpwood and forest residues within a 75-mile driving distance of Taylorsville, California, with roughly three times as much potentially available at higher risk.
An ‘A’ rating denotes high prospective viability of feedstock supply and infrastructure, and low expectations of default risk, signalling strong capacity to support new biobased plant operations in the Zone.
